Intelligent Reflecting Surface Networks With Multiorder-Reflection Effect: System Modeling and Critical Bounds

In this paper, we model, analyze and optimize the multi-user multi-order-reflection (MUMOR) intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) networks. We first derive a complete MUMOR IRS network model applicable for arbitrary times of reflections, size number IRSs/reflectors. The optimal condition achieving sum rate upper bound with one in closed-form function analytical to achieve interference-free transmission are derived, respectively. Leveraging condition, obtain different topologies, where linear graph (LG), (CG) null (NG) topologies considered. Simulation results verify our theories derivations demonstrate that bounds under $K$ -fold improvement given -piece IRS.
